    Claude Desktop is the desktop app for this connector. A config file that lives only on your laptop does not show up in Claude (web & mobile). Use the directory listing so Desktop, web, and mobile share it. The Claude API uses the same MCP URL.

    Sign up and create a profile.

    Open that profile, go to Integrations, and choose Claude. OAuth client details live on the MCP tab.

This page is Claude: Claude Desktop, Claude (web & mobile), and the Claude API. The Knotr plugin needs a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). On the free plan, use the connector. A connector saved only in a local Claude Desktop config does not appear in Claude (web & mobile). Use the directory listing or the remote URL from Integrations. Claude Code is a separate install.

What travels with you

Once you authorize the plugin or connector, Claude Desktop, Claude (web & mobile), and the Claude API can use your profile, skills, knowledge, and artifacts. What you save in Knotr is still yours, with a link you can reopen outside that chat.

Should I add the plugin or the connector?
Add the plugin if you have a paid Claude plan. It includes the connector plus skills that show Claude how to use your knowledge, artifacts, and style guides. Use the connector on its own on the free plan or with the Claude API. You only need one.

Why isn't my Claude Desktop config showing in Claude (web & mobile)?
Claude (web & mobile) uses the remote connector, not a config file on your laptop. Connect Knotr from the directory listing or from Integrations so Claude Desktop, Claude (web & mobile), and the Claude API share it.

Is this Claude Code?
No. Claude Code is a separate install and has its own page. You install that plugin from inside Claude Code. This page is Claude: Claude Desktop, Claude (web & mobile), and the Claude API, all on https://knotr.ai/mcp/v1.

Where do I copy the server URL?
After signup, open Integrations, or use https://knotr.ai/mcp/v1 from the directory listing. This overview does not show credentials.

Are Claude's artifacts the same as Knotr artifacts?
No. Claude's stay in that conversation. Knotr artifacts live in your workspace with a link you can open later or share. Ask Claude to save the write-up there when you want it to last.

Can I present several Claude write-ups as a walkthrough?
Yes. Save each memo or page as a Knotr artifact, group them into a Collection, and share the present link so the set is walked through in order, outside that chat.
